An expanding group of HIFOR pilot sites under development

In Republic of Congo, we’ve launched a pilot project in Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park. The park is a global treasure, spanning over 423,000 hectares of untouched rainforest. This remarkable ecosystem has absorbed over 11 million tons of CO₂ in the past decade, supports a community of over 2,000 residents, and shelters iconic species such as western lowland gorillas, elephants, and chimpanzees.

In the Amazon Basin, we are actively exploring options for HIFOR pilots in Jaú National Park and Indigenous territories in Amazonas. We’re also evaluating the potential for Indigenous territory HIFOR pilots in the Colombian Amazon, including Macroterritorio de los Jaguares de Yuruparí.
